What an idiot...I saw this story a few weeks ago, she would do that DAILY, so finally the cops were waiting.

What kind of lazy, pathetic human being would keep pulling such an asinine stunt, risking people's lives over and over, when there is almost certainly an alternate route that would take them around this spot?! It obviously runs in the family, too--the mother didn't hesitate for a second in lying to protect her, and didn't show even a hint of remorse for such stupidity. This penalty was WAY too light!

thought there could have been a line for stamps, but hearing she was late to bring her daughter to school? double fail
-i have a daughter but i dont mind hitting other peoples daughters/sons as i drive on a sidewalk with a bus that has flashing lights to stop because loading

and to a comment above... seriously there is only one street you can use? this isnt a country road this is a city street..... over a year of dealing with this problem??? there are mice smarter then that ....
