Would you buy it?

Congrats on the purchase! I just bought a '99 4Runner Limited last Monday with 223k for $4650 + TTL. It has the Multi-Mode and the e-locker. Not too many problems mechanically, though. So I'd say your $2900 was a good deal. I'm a long-time Jeep guy so I'm new the the Toyota world.

Yesterday I found rockauto.com. They have just about every car part you could possibly need and at about half the price as Autozone or O'Reilly's...about an eighth of the Toyota stealership:doh: Keep us posted on your build. Hopefully I'll start my write-up this weekend.

Nice truck, I am glad someone bought that, had been on cl for awhile i think. 250K is nothing for that truck. How does the undercarriage look? Any rust?

Get your parts from Camelback toyota, 20% discount and fast shipping, free shipping over like $150.

Not sure if your interested but I have chrome trim rings that go over the fenders and running boards that just came off my 99, let me know.

Thanks! No rust! That's one of the things that sold me. The body has a few dings, but nothing too terrible. It's missing the fender flares, but who needs those. It's going to need a good detail soon. But compared to the other two that I looked at, it looks like it just rolled of the showroom floor.

Congrats! I was curios as to weather I needed multi-mode. Also, for some parts, I think ball joints in particular, you should stay away from aftermarket parts. (see below)

lower ball joints go with toyota...

Will do! I saw a video on youtube about them. Also I read somewhere to use the tacoma ball joints. Would you confirm?

Now that you have bought it, you can bring it up to WA or OR and double your money! Or, at least try, as they do around here :)

Hah, no thanks! I'm keeping it!
