So I have been making my own spacers at work, and was wondering if anyone knew if the front spacers will match the back spacers.

As in if I make the front spacers would they also fit for the back as well.

If anyone has any links that may help please send them my way. I cant seem to find the pattern for bolts and all.

They are diff, do an eBay search and you will be able to see the differences and also there is a formula of the spacer width vs lift but it's around 50% so 1" width = 2" of lift. But it's better to buy em,my uncle ownes a machine shop and I was gonna have em fabbed put but specs are hard to get.

Why wouldn't they fit ? I'm guessing you think rotation of tires isn't possibly with a 3rd gen?

For lifting

My buddy that works in the machine shop part of our shop thinks they will come out really good.

So This is what I did so far.

I cut a 5" round piece of aluminum

4 at 1"
2 at 1.60"
2 at 2.00"

So the plan is to shave the 1" down to a 1/2 inch and use the 2" with it. So all together I get 2.500 lift.

and was going to do 3" in the back, ill half to wait and try to find the measurements for the back I suppose or is any of this a good Idea?

I have a 3" spacer lift (Revtek kit installed by previous owner) and it rides like crap. It's still on stock shocks and they are topping out when going over even the smallest bumps in the road. The ride is super harsh due to the shock topping out and also the spacer pre-loading of the stock spring. My rig feels like it's about to rattle itself to pieces going down the road.

It's cool when you can save money by using stuff you have on hand or easily and cheaply available, but if you are committed to going this route then I would keep the lift under 2 inches due to the problems mentioned.

If you want more lift then you are going to need to buy extended length shocks or your ride will suck. So you are already looking at around 200-400 for a decent set of (4)shocks. Why not invest a little more and get some actual lift springs while you are at it? Especially since you are already going to have everything apart installing shocks.

If you haven't already read the sticky 3rd Gen 4Runner Lift Information and FAQ's then I recommend you read the whole thread before messing with your ride. I did my research and have purchased a whole new lift - anxiously waiting for parts to arrive.

The rear is a 1:1 (1" will give you 1" of lift)

Yeah don't forget the ratios or you will rip your suspension in half

Rear spacers shouldn't decrease the quality of the ride. It is the same as if the 4runner had a lower mount on the frame section of the coil retainer. Front spacers cause a jarring ride due to inducing a physical increase in the spring rate.

Does anyone happen to know or have specs or a picture of what a rear spacer measurements are? if anyone has one or knows how I could find this out it would be very helpful thank you.:surfer:
