Wrap skid plate

I'm considering wrapping the skip plate on my 16 4runner. Has one done this before? Are there any heat issues I need to be aware of?

I have some wrap left over from another project and would like my skid plate to be black instead of silver.

Remove it and give it a quick coat of black truck bed liner. If you wrap it and scratch it, you'll just have to wrap it again. If you paint it and you get it scratched, it'll just be a quick spray to make it like new.

Does wrapping it help it skid over things better? It's a skid plate for accidentally bashing into your over shopping carts. You wouldn't want to scratch up your skid plate right?

Just google search "ARB skidplates" and you can get....your....rocks....off.

I slay myself sometimes.
