Wrapping Interior Trim??

Has anyone wrapped their interior trim by actually removing the door pieces and center console pieces? Not a huge fan of the granite on my soon to arrive '05 Limited and wanted to do a Di-Noc job.

Was discussing this with a fellow member and he did not remove trim and the carbon fiber overlay looked great! Thanks!

I've found somewhere I tried to search real quick but couldnt find it, theres a place you can order different designs of trim pieces to get rid of the granit look. they offer stainless, aluminum, leather, wood grain, different colors, carbon fiber etc.. I can't remember where it was I found them I believe it was one of those anythingauto type sites hopefully someone else will be able to help

You're probably referring to metrostyling on ebay (or something like that), they have TONS of Di-Noc for sale and I am eyeing the ebony metallic which would go quite well with my taupe interior.

Anyways, anyone ever do this with removing trim, applying then re-installing??

Alternatively, you can paint them. I converted my sport to have a JBL bezel and I ended up buying a silver HVAC module off ebay. I tried the DI-NoC on the pieces but wasn't happy with the result. I ended up taking all the center pieces out and giving them a matching coat of paint. SEM (i buy it from Levine Auto Parts) has a good selection of interior flexible vinyl/plastic paint designed for car parts. The end result looks almost factory.

Just take your time, get the matching SEM plastic primer, light-sand between dry coats.

i would never paint my interior.. maybe ive never seen it done right but its tacky to me, some may say vinyl is too i guess. i did anthracite cf 3m 1080 on some bits in my interior, ill get some pics this afternoon.

Of course it's all in the prep. Piano black is great when it's done right. Besides, almost anything is better than the fake granite, right??

Finally got some time to photograph the dash setup. I replaced my non JBL dash bezel with a new one from Partznet. I'm a little OCD so when I got the Best dash kit and the plastic didn't match, I opted to paint. This also allowed me to paint the silver Hvac control. First pic is the mockup, second pic is the finished product. Note, I didn't paint the metallic paint surrounding bezel...I actually returned that one and bought the SE specific one hat was color matched. (BTW for some reason at Partznet the SE version is about $80 cheaper even though it the same exact thing).

Yes I would agree that it's pretty tacky when someone with a red Honda Civic paints their interior panels red...but when its done properly and tastefully, it can look as good or better then stock.

You left the granite center trim and door accent pieces as is?

Hey now I have the fake wood in mine...dealer must have installed it when it was new, it's fadded some from the UV rays over the years. The wood doesn't bother me, it is what it is.

With the Sport Edition, I never had the granite appliqué. My center stack was black originally; but, when I switch to a JBL bezel, I picked up a silver JBL hvac console on Ebay. Between that & the slightly off color "Best" double din trim, I ended up painting all the parts to match.

The metallic gray surround bezel is a stock part for the Sport Editions.

I painted my center counsel dash trim body color and it looks wayyyy better then generic silver. it looks oem. ill post pics tomorrow
