Since my wife has taken over the 4runner, she wants the boards put back on. I threw them away so I need another set. Limited flares, beige in color.

What sort of condition are they in? I have the limited flares and Im not all that worried about color.

Give me a shipped price to Lansing, MI 48912.

I have a MINT set as well... not sure what is considered "beige"... mine are off a Black runner with that goldish silver(??) trim... lol

I believe thats the same color. Shipping from the West Coast is prohibitive though. $76 via Grey Hound and $82 via FedEx. Unless you are giving them away.....:)

$76 is prohibitive? I would think a complete set of Limited running boards, with brackets and hardware shipped to your door for less than $200 would be a pretty good price.

Perspective. $76 + the cost of the boards themselves is more than I want to have into a set.

There are some factors that lead me to this line of thinking...

1) When my wife took over the 4runner to get rid of her Kia, she just wants something to keep road spray from covering the sides of the vehicle. When its plastered with salt and grime the kids clothes rub against it while they are climbing in and out. I can accomplish the same thing with a $20 set of mud flaps.

2) There was a time, and still are a few instances, where folks can not give the running boards away. I am not expecting anyone I have currently spoken with to give me their boards. I haven't yet offered anyone less than their asking price. But I will reserve the opportunity to try to spend as little as possible on something that most remove from their vehicles because they are a hindrance to form and function. Buyers market.

I don't mind paying to have them shipped, but getting a set from the west cost puts the cost of shipping them above my threshold of what I want to have into a set. If people weren't throwing them away because they weren't selling or people weren't picking them up for free, I may be in a different place. But I'm not. Yet.

Yeah, Death Cougar pretty much nailed it. I wont even bother looking for a box because I have shipped enough things THIS MONTH that are half the size and twice that to ship. Hell, I just paid $148 to have ONE fiberglass fender shipped to me. Pretty stoked about that, but whatcha gonna do? No one wants to invent the damn teleporter already...
