Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a 96'-2000 manual 4runner. I live in the Chicago area and would be willing to drive to pick it up. I need something under 160,000 miles in good shape. I had a 2000 limited but it was in an accident. Interior can be cloth or leather no preference. Let me know if you have one for sale. My price range is under $8k. Thanks

Hey there. I have a '97 SR5 v6 5Spd 4x4, and live in the city of Chicago. THe interior (black/gray) is in really nice shape, the exterior has some issues, such as a rusty front drivers side fender (but I will include a new OEM fender as well). There is minor rust where the running boards were along both sides.

The frame is in good shape though - I actually applied rust bullet to the entire rear axle and some other areas to mitigate anything further.

It has 138k miles, tranny is nice, full redline fluids. I have been mainly using it to haul supplies to a house I was renovating, but now have no need for it anymore.

Because of the rust issues that need resolving, I am letting it go for cheap - real cheap. I am asking $2800. You could probably put another grand into it and have the rust fixed with a new paint job if you really wanted, then have an awesome 4Runner. I have not put it on CL yet, as I was hoping to sell the rare 5spd to another enthusiast.
