WTB: clean 3rd gen or '06-'08 V8 4th gen

After some deliberation we have decided to let the youngest take the reins of my '99 vs looking for a new car.

So I figured I could use this as an excuse to get a newer one for myself

Preferences on 3rd gens are '99-00, maybe a clean '98. Manual and E lock are preferred but not deal breakers.

For the 4th gen, I am open to whats out there currently. Prefer Limited with leather, but will look at SR5s.

I am looking for rust free/minimal rust and mainly stock for both examples. Must be a non smoker car with clean title.

Buying long distance and transporting the vehicle isn't an issue for me.
I am not looking for a beater or project, I am looking for a clean example that I can hold onto for a while. What's out there enthusiasts?

I did buy an '07 V8, but I am looking to add another to the fleet. I still have my '99 too (16 year old is driving now). After driving both I would have a hard time picking up another 3rd gen over a 4th gen V8.

My 3rd gen I just listed for sale. Has a supercharger.

I have 02 Sport Edition. 4WD 159k.
Thundercloud grey. Leather.
All stock, except 32” tires, Michelin defender. Have less than 2000k on them.
New oem LCA last year. WP & TB replaced at 95k by dealer.
Edit: forgot to mention complete rear brakes replacement 6 months ago.
Shocks were replaced with Tokico treckmasters at 120k or so...

New Alpine ILX-207 professionally installed (I also have a full JL Audio Wedge, JL Audio door speaker & Sub amps.
New in box Hertz Mille speakers never installed)
New Timing Belt, tensioner/pulley/water pump kit and seal kit (recent).
New Front and rear suspension with full Toytec coilover up front.
New Bilstein 5100 all around
New rear air suspension bags just a couple years ago with additional new sensors.
New Drivers and passengers front full length CV Assembly replaced.
New front rotors, pads & disks.
Drivers side exhaust manifold replaced with by dealer a few years back.
Alternator a couple years ago.
Recent full exhaust system replaced by dealer.
New fluids in every reservoir, Engine, both differentials, transfer case, all Zurk fittings greased.

Replaced restrictive stock air filter with easier to manage K&N.

You might enjoy battling with the teen over which 99 is more fun to drive.

Mine is lifted, every replacement part with an eye to upgrading.

Greaseable Lower Ball joints and front sway bar bushings, Brembo rotors, Borla muffler. Has the locker and the actuator does actually work.

Euro style Hella side markers, supplemental lighting, ARB bumper-too much to list.

I just picked up my 4th gen V8 in March-I feel your pain. It's a great drive but the 99 is much more trucky in my book. Pre-wired for powered subwoofer in the cargo area. That will get the 16 year olds attention any day.
