My display that tell you what channel your on and tuning has faded out. Anybody upgraded and want to sell your stock unit. If not any idea where to get one cheaper than the dealer??? [email protected]

check the classified forum. I've seen them pop up every now and then. Junk yards are AWESOME. 4th gens are a rare breed, but if you have some local toyota yards they might be worth checking out. Also copartfinder.com will locate what yards do have them, but honestly I've found it kind of unreliable.

The front panel on these radios has a plug which may need contact cleaner over time. You might try removing the front panel and giving that plug a shot, it just unclips from the front of the radio. You will have to remove it from the dash to remove the front panel and you will see that the plastic front panel (that whole black piece) is held in place by little metal bumps protruding through slots. Just carefully raise the little plastic tabs with a small screwdriver and work your way around it.Dunk50 said:
