wtcnbrwndo4u's Build Thread

Hey all,
Decided to make a build thread since I've actually got a decent amount of shit done to my vehicle now.

Day I bought it. 2003 4Runner Limited, fully loaded. Bought with 179K on the clock. First thing I did was replace the timing belt, because the dealer didn't know when it was last replaced (no record apparently).

First mod was chopping off the resonator and muffler and putting on a 14" Magnaflow. I need to get a clip of this, it sounds nasty. Also threw in the AFe Dry Filter, deleted HCF.

Second mod. Got a bumper bar from the eBays. It's a pretty basic one, mostly for looks rather than function.

Next up. HIDs. Bought a Morimoto Mini V7 set from TheRetrofitSource, along with some blacked out housings. I also added LED halos, front and rear.

Pretty ****ing dope IMO.

Next up was a lift. Bought Bilstein 5100s all around with the intention to just lift it an inch or two. Bought some Taco struts for the front to use the springs. Well, couldn't get the damn springs off. I got pissed and ordered OME885s for the front. Rocking FJ coils + a Daystar 1.5" in the back. Pretty happy.

F: 22.5"
R: 23.5"

Also took the opportunity to throw on new tires + spacers. Cooper AT3s 265/70/17, P-rated. 1.25" eBay spacers.

Going on a road trip in a week, so I wanted to have a winch, just in case I get stuck (mostly solo trip).

Got the BudBuilt hidden winch mount ordered, then was waiting for a good deal on a winch. A week before Prime Day, I got the 20% off any Warehouse Deals item. Turns out the exact winch I was looking at, the Superwinch Tiger Shark 9500, was in there. Minus the 20% (it was already discounted hella), I got it for $167 shipped. ****ing steal. And it had no damage and wasn't even used.

Had to relocate the solenoid, so I bought their $50 kit to do so. Only comes with 18" wires, so I just stuck it right on top, behind the grille. Ziptied in place, lol.

Got the hook on, was able to get on the lower grille trim so it doesn't move around. Mine originally came with a roller fairlead, but I couldn't get it to fit. Found this Warn steel hawse fairlead that they say works with wire. Skeptical, but it's what I had to do.

Built a sleeping platform for the road trip. It's split into multiple sections. Bolted out the back seats for more room. I made it so the back half of the thing is just shorter than the back seats, so I can leave it in there at all times after the trip for extra storage. The two floor panels in the front can be lifted up for access to storage underneath. Two drawers are 32"x17", with soft-close drawer slides. The slides are only 24", but that's all I could get at a hardware store.

Jack fits perfectly in this spot.
