WTF is this connector?

Hey all,
Happy thanksgiving. I was replacing my stereo and I have this left over wire. It looks like the antenna wire but it is not. The radio works fine, and everything else seems to work but I have this extra wire with a rod like connector that is left over. What the hell?

That’s for the diversity antenna. The antenna wire goes to the passenger rear quarter panel window. They make adapters that combine both antennas to aftermarket head units, if you insist on still running it.

Secondary antenna. Running just the main one is fine, I've done it for some time after swapping over a tacoma headunit and noticed no difference in radio reception, but my favorite station isn't the best to begin with

Do you know what they're called or where to find one? I was looking for one a while back but couldn't get one that fit

I know Metra makes one. It’s essentially a y splitter type of adapter. I’m sure you could dig up some old posts to find the exact model number. Just need to know the main antenna Jack and diversity antenna Jack size in mm, but like I said, the info’s out there in at least a few posts.

Get a GM Antenna Adapter - Scosche MDAB 1988-Up GM Micro/Delco Antenna Adapter Tip

and

Car Radio Antenna Y Adapter - Amazon.com: HerMia Car Radio Stereo AM & FM Antenna Connector SMB Splitter Y Adaptor Cable, 1 Male to 2 Female Plug for Automobile Car Antenna Aerial: Electronics - The Metra Y Cable is a little cheaper, but it's over a foot long for no reason at all...

Plug the Small adapter into on of the legs of the Y, plug the small antenna into that, and plug the big antenna into the other one. Then plug the whole thing into the radio and you are good. I need to do this since my power antenna is shot, but I just use Bluetooth and Spotify or listen to a CD anyway.

I used the Metra Y adapter, power antenna on switch, City n Burbs diversity works fine power antenna in the sticks.
