Do you think it is better to wait for the newer body style to come out? I was just about to pull the trigger on a 2018 4Runner. I don't want to buy something that will be outdated next week :sniper:

So I thought this was a 6th gen thread, then I saw it was a bash KDSS thread, then I saw it was a joke - but I will comment on this quote.

You think the current 4runner is not outdated? I think from your statement alone I would not recommend you buy a 4runner - I doubt you will be happy however its hard to judge from 1 post

Its a dated platform released in 2010 and while I normally don't agree with the C&D/Motor trend reviews one of the points they made was calling the 4runner a dinosaur and I couldn't agree more. Its also the reason I love it and bought mine in 2014. Tried and proven , relatively simple tech.

Its not perfect, and no mass produced car will be but as a group they are some of the most reliable vehicles on the road , capable and reasonably priced.

Just make sure you do plenty of test drives and understand that this is a lumbering , low tech ,BOF SUV that has a low tow rating - In general its not world class at anything (except reliability) but its "good enough" at everything, IMHO.
