Hi mmurphy77,
To answer you question:
"...I thought I'd see if anybody else was experiencing similar things..."
YES! there are many here that are experiencing the very same symptoms as you are having!
Solution... may be one of two; depending on the problem.
(1) The firmware that drives your navi-system may have become damaged as a result of normal ware-n-tear e.g. you received a bad automatic update that caused a file to be illegible (could not be read
XERROR)
Solution: R&R Entune software; have the dealership do it or you may be able to download the file yourself... Call your dealership and ask if it is available online or if you can bring it in for a O.S. R&R/ X-fer.
(2) You may only need an ECU Reset. Step one: Locate a fuse in the main relay/fusebox (under hood) labeled
RAD 20A. Pull that single fuse and leave it out for minimum of four hours; this can be done once your truck is parked for the night so as not to cause any inconvenience. The vehicle can still be driven with the fuse pulled but the audio system will be disabled during this time (needs 4 hours to drain completely!).
Favorable results have been reported after following these procedures about 98% of the time; nearly half of the time the solution was option
one, and about half of the time option
Two yielded a favorable result! Leaving only a two % marginal failure of the
Panasonic USA equipment to be at fault!
PS: Please be sure to leave us some feed back once you find out what the trouble is; it'll help us to zero in on some of the many others with similar equipment issues, Best to you!
