This is a long shot so gimme a break
Was in the middle of switching insurances (fk geico), and doing upgrade work on my 2001 sr5, left the keys in my truck and went inside to get a beer and some kid from the neighborhood stole my truck for a joy ride and decided to drive it into a tree.
The car is totaled ... blown out back rear quarter window. brakes are shot. front end is crushed (suspension, fender, headlights). I still drive the car [its a gd 4runner :AK47:] daily and the engine and transmission are beast. Its all cosmetic work, some brake work, and front end suspension.. I don't know any mechanics... i do everything by myself with help from this forum (thank ya'll)
I bought all the pieces I need to fix the truck and have installed everything, but the damage to the front end suspension is extensive and I'm an amateur mechanic (LBJ, LCA, etc.). I'm hemorrhaging cash ... for the amount of money I'm willing to spend to get the rest of the pieces I could get another project truck with less problems and transfer the new pieces to it.
Looking to buy a 3rd Gen 200-260k miles... nothing flashy ... no rust ... busted front end is fine. I'm looking for something to spend time working on that has a quality engine and transmission, but less problems with the suspension.
I live in VIRGINIA so if you have any ADVICE or any sleepers please feel free to DM ... trust me ADVICE is worth it to me too...
