I paid the $10 one day subscription, and download a TON of info on maintenance and repair. Almost everything I thought I would need to repair the truck myself.

I now know how to adjust the door postion so maybe I can FINALLY have it not rub/make noise over larger road bumps. (this problem has been with me for over a year).

Also know how to pull the instrument cluster, replace the coolant, service evey single fluid.

Did anyone know that you can jack up the front of the 4runner by putting the jack in the center of the skid plate on the bump? There is a bolster in between the skid plate and the front differential. Found that in one section of the manual.

The only stuff I didn't download was electrical wiring and information on messing with the ECU, which requires special equipment.

If I need the wirng someday, I will definitely go there again for the info.

Cheaper than $120 for manuals, but take's a little more time .

I am thinking of subscribing this as well.
The subscription covers Toyota and Lexus. Most of vehicles in my family are included. Got to be a good deal.

Please, please post the process for adjusting the liftgate door position. I've had the same issue since I drove my runner of the lot and it drives me CRAZY. :bash:

I finally resorted to placing two pieces of old t-shirt in the rear liftgate to stop the noise. Seems crazy for a $35M truck!

The only adjustment on the lift-gate is the D ring/latch on the floor (center) where the gate lowers and latched. Just loosen the two torque screws and you will get a LITTLE movement. If that doesn't do it the hinges are sprung and have to be replaced. You should see a uniform gap all the way around the lift-gate and flush with the tail lights when closed.

My company uses the "M" to refer to 1,000--not 1 million. You better watch how much money you're selling your truck for, someone might take you up on the offer, then hire a lawyer when you try to back out of the deal when only $1000.00 is on the table.

Common financial lingo M = thousands, MM = millions.

As an I.T. guy... we use "k" as thousands... k = kilo

kilobyte = 1,000 byte

35k = 35,000

I feel more common in saying "k"?? I dunno, never heard of ppl using M.... And this is just my sharing~ no offense!

After looking at the repair manual I see why it can not be adjusted without changing the bolts. Thanks for the post. I now see a need to download the repair manual. Thanks John!

The $10 was worth it when I installed my lift. I downloaded a bunch of stuff. The only problem is the file names are useless and not organized.
