x-over steering

Has anyone done a cross over steering/high steering conversion? I know I need an IFS steering box, and new steering arms, but other than that I don't know what else I need. But I'm tired of smacking that tie-rod... I'm always going slow when I do hit it, but I broke a steering arm up in the mountains a few weeks ago, and started looking at my tie-rod and its got a couple of boo-boo's in it...

The best/easiest way to do it is to get a complete crossover kit from All Pro, AOR, Sky Mfg, etc.

Get an IFS box from a yard or check the For Sale section on most of the Toyota BBS's.

You'll need to make or buy some steel plates to reinfoce both sides of the frame under the IFS box, and sleeve the frame where you drill holes for mounting the box.

Right on, I've checked out Sky's and was planning on going with them. Any suggestions??? From the research I've done, they seem pretty stout... The set-up should run about 400-500 bucks right? Cheaper would be better- but still want quality...

I think any of the "name" brands should be OK. Just don't try and ghetto-fab your own arms. I think the going price for a kit (less IFS box) is around $400.
