I have been running my Terk XM Commander through my factory NAV for a while now. It worked well, except that it was on FM Modulation so it was quiet (volume far lower than disc, or the radio, even with the XM Commanders volume setting on high) and on long trips the reception would go out as there would be FM stations stepping on my XM
