XMDirect or Toyota OEM - '07 Ltd. w/Nav

I just bought an '07 Limited with Nav.

Does anyone know the differences between the "XM Direct Toyota Smart Digital Adapter" and the expensive factory XM kit?

Is one "better" than the other? Is one more seamless or have more functionality than the other?

Also, I'm assuming the XMDirect kit will plug into my current radio/Nav unit???

I know there is a big difference in price, not sure about any other types of differences except the OEM toyota unit should be covered under the warranty but it may need to be installed by the dealer, not sure. I bought the Terk XM Direct (XMDTLK) on sale for $99 shipped and it was a rather easy plug and play. It looks like now the same place wants $149 + $9.99 shipping, but you may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere. http://store.xmfanstore.com/texmfortovex.html

This was my third XM install and this time I decided to install the micro-antenna on front-right passenger side of the dash, as far forward as possible in the very corner. So far (~3 months) it has been flawless. The only place I lose reception is the same as it was with my roof mounts (parking decks, underground garages, etc.) Hope this info helps.

Not super important, but, if you think about it and have time, could you snap a pic of your antenna location? Low-res camera phone is fine. If not, no worries.
