XREAS is leaking, is it OK to drive long distances?

If my front passenger and rear driver shocks are leaking how fast do I need to replace the XREAS? I am supposed to drive from Austin to Denver in a few weeks and I am not sure if I am going to be able to fix it before then. How bad is it to keep driving on it that way?

Driving extended distances with leaky shocks may cause strange uneven tire wear, but unless they get realllly bad it's not dangerous. You should be fine. Just remember to get an alignment and rotate your tires after replacing the suspension when you get back.

I had the exact same problem a few months back ... leak in the XREAS line connecting rear driver and front passenger shocks. Noticed the fluid leak from the stain in the driveway. Not exactly sure when the leak started, but by the time I got around to getting concerned about it I was bouncing around pretty good.

Then off to the mechanic, took time to order parts and get me booked in. I ended up removing the XREAS system completely (too expensive for me to replace).

In the end, I did drive quite some time (mind you mainly in town) without a fully functional suspension. No worse for the wear.
