Tim: the only reason im prob not gonna go with gunmetal is bc i think it would be too many colors on the 4runner... i wanna keep it pretty much just the body color and black with accents of red.

But ya i would love some new rims but funds are kinda low right now... i found a set of 17" FJ rims but the guy hasnt gotten back to me yet.

Glad I sold those rims. They sell for a lot!

A cheap way to go about it would be to find some 16"s that would look better, like the 5 stars from 99. Tire swap, BAM!

Well i thought bout using LEDs since they are brighter but i hated the idea of hotspots so i just went with dyed incandescent bulbs.

Well 4runner needed a oil change so decided since i was out there that i would paint the emblems with plasti-dip once more since the first time i think i applied too much at once. Also decided that i was gonna try it on the center caps since the paint was almost 50% chipped off on most of them and i think they turned out much better. I think i may end up painting the rims with plasti-dip to see if i like the overall look before i sand and duplicolor it.

dude just paint the rims black too since only thing thats not black on ur runner is the body

me likey! that looks great man! and for the inerior bulbs i think they look better than the LED's where did you find those dyed bulbs at?

Ya Eric i plan to paint them black but i just need to find time to do it.... im gonna have to paint them while they are on the 4runner vs being taken off since i DD my 4runner.

THe 4runner interior is going to be 50% or a little more black soon but need some cash to buy the paint and free time to tear everything down so i can get to work... Hopefully ill get most of it done in a day or two.

Thnx GottaBe TRD, ya i love the look of the dyed bulbs bc no hotspots which makes me really happy. Ive gotten so many compliments on them by all the ppl who ride with me in the in 4runner. I got the dyed bulbs from autolumination.com, jsut look in the LED section and towards the bottom of each bulb type is the incandescent version and they dye the bulbs to accomplish that color.

If u want i can get a pick up of a blue conversion soon since ill be doing that for my cousin's 4runner.

Well havent had much time to do anything to the 4runner lately but i am glad to say that the 4runner is now officially a weekend wheeler... picked up a 1996 black nissan maxima yesterday in dallas. It will need some work but should last me a while and be a good project.

Not sure when I'll have time, I have a bunch of stuff I need to do to my rig and can't even get to that! Well havent done much to the 4runner lately since work is a killer and ive been trying to get this maxima running smoothly with adding mods at the same time... 4runner finally got a bath this weekend so its finally nice and clean for the first time in about a year. Still need to add the body lift and rock sliders.

Well i know this is a build thread for the 4runner but thought id show yall some pics of my new DD and some of the small mods ive done to it.

Maxima Mods So Far:
- Retrofitted 2 10" Alpine type-E subs into a 12" downfire ported sub box

- Retrofit of a Toyota Paseo spoiler

- Blue LED footwell lights

- Adding Alpine CDA-9884 with ipod

- CB radio with PA (mounted in center console)

Nice new DD by the way. I have been looking into something like that too.. Some old beater with a tiny engine.

Ya i need to get some pics of the cb in there... i couldnt pass up the deal on the maxima or i wouldve gone with something else a little more sportier.

i like what you did with the dd very cleam mods not ricy at all like the ones i c in cali, i almost cryied laughing when i saw a old honda insight with flat black murder paint job tinted glasses tail and head with big airplant spoiler and huge black rim and on the back it has the DUB emblem shoulda snap a pic and posted on failblog
