hello everyone Im a jeep guy who made the jump over to toyota. recently acquired a free 1997 4runner sr5 with a blown motor for free. now just seeing my options with JDM vd USDM used motor or Rebuild the damn thing. I have no knowledge of toyotas > I am in the Bay area VAllejo ca. Im looking to make some friends that can guide a rook like me. I do have mechanical skills as i have worked on my previous XJ'x and Yj's. Mostly suspension work, fabrications and regear. but i have never swapped out a motor before. should be fun. If you like Filipino food and modelo beer hit me up

Got a new 2018 4x4 TRD Offroad Premium

I had a 4Runner way back in 1997 and only had it about 5 years. Last Friday I purchased a new 4Runner because we are moving from the Los Angeles area to Colorado. Going to do some serious off roading.

I wanted to create my own post but I realized that I have to reply to about 15 other posts first. Oh well. Either way, it is nice to be here.
