Hello - I have an intermittent squeaking and ticking under my hood. I've isolated it to this part. Can you tell me what system this is part of and if possible what this part is called?

It appears to be the "accumulator" which a part of the ABS pump of the master cylinder, you have 3 main parts in that area for the ABS system, the little electric motor, the pump and the accumulator, the little motor runs the pump, which builds up pressure which is stored in the accumulator, that pressure is what assists the master cylinder to give you power brakes, that pressure also is use by the ABS system to help control the brakes from locking up and controls each wheel to help stop you from skidding out of control.
