Yellow Fogs

I have been interested in changing my white fog bulbs to yellow to try to make them more functional. I have seen the hella optilux and nokya bulbs but also looked into the 3k hid option. My issue comes up when I see the cheap HID kits for lets just say twice the cost of the normal bulbs. I just bought a new morimoto kit to replace my old hid hit for my headlights so im really not that wild about putting a lot of cash in the fogs. (one of my ballasts went out) With all the cheap 35w are there any that are decent?

I read about DDM tuning and how people used to like them but see that I will probably have to deal with china now for warranty issues and that basically means it cheaper to replace the kit. I have looked at a OPT7 brand some but of course a 35W big ballast AC 9006 isnt available. Are any of the slim ballast models good?

The other issue is My 2007 has reflector fogs. I know all about the reflector issue with the headlights on the earlier 4th gens but is the fog reflector any different? What direction do you think I should go?

i went with winjet yellow fogs an a 9005 60w swap. all those yellow bulbs tend to not last long so i went for yellow fogs and plain long life bulbs

I dont have Yellow HID's but I have been running my DDM Tuning for just over a year and a half on Headlights & Fogs (5k's each) without ever a glitch! I highly recommend them.

If you just want some high quality yellow halogen bulbs:
CPI Gold Selective Yellow H3 55w Bulb

you can just go with H3 yellow bulbs and Lamin-x yellow film to help

What do you mean by more functional? If you want them to be better for fog, it would help to have a sharper cutoff and a wider beam. I don't think yellow color would help that much, but it wouldn't hurt. The stock reflectors throw a bit too much light up in the air, and putting brighter bulbs in will only make that worse. If you want more light for general driving, fog lights are not the right way to do it. They throw too much light on the ground right in front of the car. It looks brighter, which fools you into thinking you can see better, but you actually can't see in the distance as well because the light on the ground in front of you decreases your night vision and takes your focus. If you put HIDs in the stock reflectors, they will throw too much light in the air and create glare for oncoming drivers.

I wonder if you could retrofit a set of projector fogs from an earlier 4th gen? Are those any better than the reflector fogs?
