Okay so Ive searched and didn't find an answer, but what do you guys think? have you seen anything like this before? :peep:

WTF is up with these lights? - YouTube

I checked the gas cap, ive checked the speed/wheel sensors, ive performed a ZPC like 6 times without any success..

By the way, everything was perfectly fine until this morning, Before then, I installed some HID fogs, which doesn't/didn't affect anything.

Tried pulling codes with my Techstream and nothing.

Maybe I'll try with a generic OBDII reader? I know that sounds backwards but .......

Hmm, perhaps the software has been corrupted? Some times even with the factory TIS TechStream at work just hooking it up will erase my 2004's ZPC. (Remember the '03 & '04 are annoyingly sensitive to battery voltage drops in regards to ZPC) those lights look like a ZPC calibration error to be honest with you (I know you did it multiple times, I'm just saying) but without DTCs is just a crap shoot. Its definitely an issue with the ABS/TRAC/VSC system though.

So, you think I should buy another Techstream? Funny you mention the actual SW, because I was so frustrated after trying a few times. I deleted it from my laptop and re installed it.. but still nothing.

See, that's just it too, there were zero DTCs.. I even tried checking a few times to see if it was just me not catching it or something, as well..

I may uninstall the HIDs as well just for the hell of it...

Have you tried a zweo point calibration ?
If not give it a shot it only takes a minute to do.

Yeah that Chinese stuff is pretty hit or miss sometimes, good for at home guys who don't really need a full fledged TIS TechStream 1.0 or 2.0, but support for problems is pretty much non-existant.

Glad it worked out, like I said, sometimes even the Real Deal TIS Techstream at work can be finicky with ZPC on my 4Runner.

had to look up a old PM and thread to find my own instructions i gave to you!

LOL

btw, for the next person that finds this thread. when using tech stream. its under the abs/tracs tab, then click on utlity button, then you will find a test mode tab. click on that, run and do what it says to do. then you will end up with a alternating flashing abs and vsc light when you are done. shut off and restart the lights will be off and you will be real happy!! like me :P

In my case.....

I was missing a gauge cluster for 1 week. It got sent out to Alex for a led cluster swap.

FYI it will cause a cell for missing speed sensor signal. Of course.

All this and then some. NEED HELP!

04 4Runner V6 SR5 4x4:
So I have Both VSC lights, Break Light, ABS, and the Code reader I used Said P0500. Speedometer and Odometer stopped working When I use my cheap scanner while driving it says its not reading the Speedometer Either. Cruise Control doesn't work.

THE STORY:
Before all this, I had VSC lights and ABS Break Light came on and off at times. Then it got parked for 4ish Months as winter came on this year as I had medical issues and wasn't allowed to drive. Jumped it early Jan of 2023, worked fine, wife drove it to car wash and parked it. 2 weeks later I Started it, worked fine. Then last week I started it, had to jump, got it going, sounded like crap, turned it off, waited turned back on the next day, no jump required sounded better. Engine Light, P2118, replaced fuse Gas pedal works, 4runner drives fine, all good? Nope Code P0500 is on. Drives smooth shifts smooth, but the rest mentioned above is broken, No check engine light returns. Seems like maybe Speed sensor on transmission, But it does shift smooth. Could be wheel speed but why now no Speedometer? Why not before that day? So is my computer messed up? Or just bad sensor got worse? I don't know what to test or check to find out before I buy parts waste a bunch of money I don't currently have. thanks in advance to anyone who helps.
