What the F, they built it then didn't show it in action?

That is crap. Cool build, but kind of worthless if you don't get to see it working.

Boooooo.

That guy is talented. Not only with the work he does but the fact he can talk about all that stuff for a few minutes straight without getting tongue tied.

lol not a toyota anymore

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. He could have started out with any truck and made what he did for about the same price. At some point, I'd rather send a couple $k more for a custom fab frame that will be oodles stronger and stiffer than an OEM one; start completely from scratch.

I e-mailed them!

I E-mailed them this letter,

"Good day!

First thing I'd like to say, is I really enjoy watching your show! It's always giving me ideas on how to build my truck, and definately a good source of 4X4 Eye Candy!

One thing I've noticed, is that there is a slight lack of family oriented Toyota 4X4 projects from your shop. Although rigs like the Urban Suburban and some the the Jeeps you featured have the capability to haul some people around, I'd like to see a 3rd Gen 4Runner on your show!

I think I might know what you're thinking, it's a "soccermom" mobile! However, I've seen so many examples of these trucks in both IFS and Solid Axle configurations that would make you think different!

I've attached a couple of pictures of my rig, and some of the other 4Runner's I know of that seem to really kick butt on the the trail, in order to give you some insperation! I know you guys can turn something out that would be "EXTREME" and would be great for hauling the family on the trail at the same time!

Thanks for putting out such a great TV show!

Sincerely,

Rob Gladu."

I also attached some photos of Scotty's Rig and 2 other Solid Axle 4Runners, as well as Brian 2 Sun's rig, and mine of course! (gotta be proud of your rig!)

Hopefully, between mine and all the other's e-mails, we can get some 3rd Gen action on the show!!!

Thanks Rob, I'm honored you thought of my truck.

My pleasure man! Their are alot of you guys here, that I look toward for both ideas and opinions. Pikeman, COB, Miller, Blcktpgsr, 4Runnit, JS Marine, and there are so many more! You guys have all built some quality rigs, and I like to look at your rigs for inspiration! :artist2:

That being said, I have a Flashdrive with hundreds of pics of all your rigs, and others as well! I use them when I feel like looking at some 4Runner porn, and don't want to be bothered searching through the 3rd Gen Gallery thread. I just make it a slideshow and enjoy them all!

Best of all, aside from the occasional remark, the gang here is a very friendly group, and the mods are great too! I'm a member over at YT and also IH8mud, and well, this place is the best! :guitar3:

Well, enough gushing from me! Thanks for being such a great group of guys!

Rob.

Same thing.

And I agree that the guy is really talented, but does anyone else find his voice annoying?

Didn't notice much about the annoying voice, I was focused watching what he's doing even though the video is time lapsed..I can only wish I know half of the things he knows....the talent is surely there.
