Hi T4R, I'm Josh (Yoterman87) from cottonwood, AZ I've had my 3rd gen for about 4 months now. It is my first 3rd gen but not my first toyota. its about my 10th i think? I kinda lost track. some toyotas i have owned are 86 4runner, 92 4runner, 79,87 and 89 pickup, 82 rwd corolla wagon, the wifes 99 rav4, 92 lexus ls400, 85 supra, and lastly the 450 horse 87 supra i built and sold to get the runner. Now in my driveway i have my wifes 07 sienna, my 97 2wd tacoma lowered 5" and the 98 runner. so i guess you coud say im a toyota guy.

I picked up my 98 from a local guy who bought it in vegas from the original owner who said it was a truck that they used to go down mine shafts. The original owner had the TRD catback (sounds great) installed and he removed the factory fender flares (looking for some forsale if anyone has any) for some reason. well on to the pics.

I just got her lifted last week. Toytec

FRONT: bilstein 5100 struts with toytec badged eibach 3" coils

REAR: OME 891 3"coils

I am gonna do the 2" body lift as soon as i get bigger tires. I dont realy want to but it makes it easy to run the charge pipe for the rear mount turbo like we did on Clownmeat's runner. i also got some 5100's for the rear, just need to make hoops to mount them.

Just curious, what setting did you set the c-clip on? The bottom?

Just curious, what setting did you set the c-clip on? The bottom?

LOL not a detroit fan? LOL. just the lowest setting (stock) The stock control arms cant take more than 3". i wish they could then i could have 5 1/2" lift.

All the cars on the lot at our dealership were at the casino for a sale so we took advantage of the ramp. i measured where to make my mounts for the rear bilsteins.

I installed a tranny cooler i had lying around. should have cleaned the truck before pictures. no chance of pink milkshake for me.

I built myself a cb whip mount. took about 10 minutes

I picked up some almost new Bilstein 5100's off my buddy, they were off his powerstroke with a 4" lift. I bought some flat stock 1/4" mild steel and fabbed up some mounts.

Holding the stock shock up to original location. you can see i gained more than 4" of down travel.

tested on the lift. not maxed out didnt wanna flip it

16" again not maxed out

They ride great too

Excellent job! Makes me glad I have the shorter shocks so my mounts were easier to make, lol.

That's awesome to see the kids along for the ride BTW, I bet they loved that. Get 'em addicted young!

thanks, i really like my 3rd gen better than the first two gens ive owned. i just wish i had more $$$ to do more sooner.

Ya i love the wife and kids goin out with me. i just need to get the wife more fond of going and less scared. :lmao: when the kids are awake they seem to enjoy it. I got my daughter a FJ Power wheels for christmas so i hope she likes it:hungry:
