I ended up using my uninsured motorist. I'm gonna let my insurance company go after and sue them. I don't have the time for all that.

He very well could have been doing 80 mph in the left lane coming up on that Camry in the center lane that could have been going 50 mph and then speed racer in the civic tries to get in-front because he is so much more important than you and has places to be. Trust me I see stupider shit here all the time. I'll pass on the left and go to get over and then the guy tailgaiting me will shoot over cut off the guy on the right and pass me on the right because I wasn't driving 95 mph in a 60.

I tell you my best driving memories...
I was going maybe 60-65 on the left lane, i saw those automatic toll meter reader coming up so i let go of the gas and coast, you know, in case of traffic cams or cops. The guy tail gating me didn't like that, gunned it past me on the right. Cop car was standing right there, lights went on, he got pulled over. Almost lost control of the steering wheel i was laughing for a good 5 min. Karma has its ways my friends.

If there were no witnesses I could see the BMW driver argue that you rear ended him...

I was a faster one. I know and keep to the pass on the left, but in a big city like Los Angeles, 99% doesn't follow that rule, so it's pointless.
by the second pic, I've already braked.

Liked this comment at first.....as I am a huge proponent of only being in the left lane to pass.....then unliked it as I realized we didn't know if s2000 was passing.
I agree though....in city traffic...with lots of congestion....it would be absolutely fantastic if people only used the passing lane for passing slower traffic.....but they don't. I can agree with the frustration of saying it's "pointless" in that scenario. I still wish people would at least give it a try.

Once there are more than 2 lanes going in the same direction, the slower-traffic-to-the-right rule goes out the window. Big time. Call it human nature. I'm sure the traffic psychologists have studied it, but I didn't look it up 'cause I don't feel having my illusions of free will shattered right now.
I've had this one since May when my RAV4 was hit and run in a parking lot.
It works very well and I'll be moving it to my 4runner for the winter. Might even buy another for my Tundra but am also interested in getting one with a rear camera 'cause tailgaters pith me off so much.

About a month late, but my personal rant; people don't seem to realize that the 'passing' lane does not equate to the 'speeding' lane.
What qualifies as 'passing' anyways? We're always 'passing' someone. Even if you always go the speed limit, you'll ALWAYS pass someone on the highway. So, essentially, always stay left...I think that's a hell of a lot safer than constantly changing lanes.
Left lane for passing, but if the speed limit is 70, and the center lane is full of people going 60 that I'm passing every 15-20 seconds or so, I'm not going to keep changing lanes back and forth. That many lane changes is just asking for trouble. I'll move back over when I'm done passing everyone, not just individual people.
And the guy who thinks that 'passing' lane means that he gets to go 30 over and tail me and flash his brights at me because I'M not going 30 over or squeezing back over to the right in between passes can just **** off.
The speed limit is the speed limit. The 'passing' lane does not mean that you get to be an *******. It only means that you get to go around people going UNDER the speed limit.
Statistically, most accidents happen due to lane changes. You either clip the guy next to you, or fail to accelerate/brake appropriately for the lane you just changed into. Get in the lane you'll eventually need, then camp there. Change lanes if the guy in front of you drops below the speed limit, and that's it.
