So im looking at getting rid of my 2007 cobalt and at the moment im between the 2011 F150 fx4 or the 2011 4 runner trail edition. the main use of the vehicle is daily driving and it will see alot of highway over the next 3 years as im off to school 400 km away from home

Of course everyone here will firmly agree that you should get the 4Runner, as it is an amazing vehicle. This is true, but the Ford is a great pickup truck. The easy way to make this decision is to decide how badly you need a pickup. I find I need a pickup about 4% of the time, the other 96% of the time I'm better off with my 4Runner. I'm willing to bet you will need an SUV more than a pickup. I also think the 4Runner is better on gas and in the long run- a much better all around vehicle.

I agree with PW. If you don't need a pickup, get the 4runner.

I think 99.99999% of the people on this board love 4Runners. I am not biased, but go for the 4Runner

Seriously, you can't go wrong with Toyota.

I agree with the others too. If you feel like you'll use the bed a lot, get the 150. No substitute for a truck. If not, get the Runner. I had a Tacoma before my 4Runner and there are still plenty of times I wish I had a bed. However I never miss it when a friend moves...
