Your opinions on this undercarriage rust please

Hi everyone,

I'm in the market for an '06-'09 Limited V8 4WD and am struggling to find something rust-free nearby (Minneapolis, MN). I'm willing to travel south but it's been a challenge finding something that has the options I'm looking for, good maintenance history, no accidents, reasonable price, etc... they get snatched up so quickly and some people don't want to deal with someone non-local. I'd also obviously prefer to inspect the vehicle in-person before committing!

Anyways, I found this one within a couple hundred miles and would like your opinions on the corrosion. I've never rustproofed anything so curious if this would be a massive undertaking to get this thing in better shape and prevent it from rusting further.

I'm not in a huge rush to purchase but have been looking for ~2-months now with little luck. Thoughts/opinions appreciated.

Not bad at all, looks like minor surface rust. No spots that I can see that are worrisome. If that’s the worst of the whole undercarriage, I wouldn’t be to concerned!

I was looking for the same things, took me 6 months to find my first one, which got totaled 3 months later, and then 7 months to find the one I have now. Both were shipped from out of state (I was in Florida at the time) and now live in Washington state. I saw a lot of nice ones in VA for some reason.

Just be patient and look multiple times a day. Like you said, they get snatched up quick.
