Your Tire Experience Needed

BFG KO2, solid offroad, suck in mud and wet and quiet on road. Just replaced them with with Maxxis Razr AT. The Maxxis seem to run bigger, look more agreesive are LT spec, 10ply in load E with 3 ply sidewall.

I cannot find a dealer in CA that sells this Maxxis Razr AT tire, they only have Maxxis Razr MT. Tire looks very good & aggressive and specs look good also. Wish I could find this locally.

I'll throw my hat in for Cooper ST MAXX. I'm on my 3rd set and they've never let me down off or on road. Yeah they're kinda heavy, but I'd be willing to bet they're beefier than the others too. And for as aggressive as the tread is, everyone who's ridden with me has been surprised how quiet they are

They are new to the market, very aggressive looking and actually think they are a RT tire and suspect they could be using the Razr MT which is a supreme tire as it’s base. Still early days though

The Falken Wildpeaks are now being made in China FYI. I bought a set of 5 285/70/17 from Discount and they were all made in Taiwan. I had 2 Yucca spines go right through the side of one of them while in the local desert. When I received my replacement (Discount's cert program on offroad tires is legit) it was made in CHINA! I balked but they said that's what their supplier is sending them.

FYI for anyone who cares. I do, I'll probably go back to the tried and true KO2 next time.

Man that sucks, I was pretty sold on going back to Wildpeaks but don't care for china.
I've been looking at "Thunderer ATR" and they seem to have good reviews. Though I didn't investigate MFG location.
Can't go wrong with Firestone Destination AT's but they don't look very aggressive.

Wildpeaks from Japan?

Wildpeak A/T3Ws bought in July 2022 in Oregon are marked as made in Japan. Maybe Falken moved (some) production?
