Nah never. And I'm in NJ pretty often and lived there for a while before Philly. I honestly don't remember how much it cost, it was my first mod. I want to say like 150ish? I didn't want a shitty job.
 
thats good to know, ive been really wanting to do that but dont want to bother if i get a ticket every other day
 
So I went against everyone's advice and I'm pretty happy:

[MENTION=72341]NJshadow93[/MENTION] and I put these in a few days ago and I haven't had time to update my thread since Ive been moving around a lot.

I have the halos wired into the parking lights and I'll wire the orange doodad into the turn signals, along with the three leds on top when i get around to it. FOr all the naysayers, i have to say that the cutoff is pretty good and I'll post a pic if anyone wants me to. I just have to work on the aiming, the horizontal aim is off pretty badly right now and I think I have the beams converging prematurely.

Tints for two windows shouldn't be more then 70-80 bucks that what I get mine for over in Philly and they have laser cut the tints so it aligns perfectly and they have lifetime warranty. Also when I used to live in NJ I had no problems with cops and tints, maybe they would mention it but not give me a ticket, but where I ran in to a problem is when you have to do inspection, they want pass you if you have the front window tints.

Thanks, no worries. What shop is that in Philly? I'm thinking about going darker. Do they charge more to remove existing tint? I know that was the issue with mine, that they wanted like 50 bucks to "scrape the glue and shit"

looks good. as far as the led's you could wire them like mustang gt sequential tail lights. i think that would be really cool.
you might be able to even get a kit and just wire it up. i installed aftermarket halo projectors in my friends mustang and it had led's with each led having it own wires so if thats the case you could do some really cool things with it
 
You would definitely need some kind of special controller for that, but it would be cool if it could be done.

Lights look better than I expected Zak :cool:

Yeah I agree on both counts. I was really pleasantly surprised. I'm working on aiming the projectors still, but i'm definitely not blinding anyone anymore which is a plus.

I have no idea how I would even start making them blink sequentially. All are linked up to two wires and a small ballast type thing. Maybe add in a delay circuit or something like you would do for an amp? if they have like a half second delay or something?
 
Did those headlight assemblies come with the halo's? If not what brand are the halo's and light assemblies. It looks dope for sure. Makes it look newer and bad ass!

Zak you probably inquire prices in Center City Philly, which are always going to be over price, drive 20 minutes north to Northeast Philly. They charge me $20 dollars to remove two windows.

Man, I really want a satoshi.

I'm considering buying and 06+ grille and trying to make it fit - fiberglass and crap on the 03 would be a PITA
 
Quick update today

Changed the oil over to m1 synthetic
Switched out my air filter for an AFE pro dry S, mine was really nasty when i changed it.
Still pondering my satoshi options and thinking about ordering a grille.
 
changed my strategy a bit thanks to a brilliant idea that [MENTION=46025]HokieRunner[/MENTION] had.
I cut out 3/4" of the upright and made this alum. bracket for it that im affixing with 2 machine screws and a bunch of JB weld.

Not perfect yet, but i'm going to trim the bracket a bit so it's hidden.


I also shaped the front, but I don't have a pic yet.
