zerk fittings on driveshaft - 08 SportEdition?

I can see the Zerk fittings for the driveshaft ujoints, but figured there would also be one for the slip-joint (which I suspect is the cause of an intermittent driveline "clunk" when leaving stoplights). I don't see one anyplace - anyone know if there is one - There should be grease in there!

There should be 6 total, 3 per driveshaft (2 U-Joints and 1 Slip Joint).

awesome, thanks! I must have missed the slip-joint fittings because they were rotated on top and I was under the car on my back.

Nice choice of grease - Mobile1 Syn. I also recommend AMSOil Series 2000 Synthetic Grease, but the Mobile1 is cheaper and can be purchased at most auto stores including Walmart. I just greased my driveline, for the 1st time at 83,000miles, to get rid of the clunking when stopping and starting off.
How often (miles/months) are you guys regreasing your driveline? I remember someone telling me once a year, but I'm not sure. Thanks. I don't really want to do it to often because of smell I get when some of the excess grease gets thrown onto the exhaust.

Also, how many pumps are you putting into each slide yoke. My mechanic friend told me to pump until you see the slide yoke slightly move, but I did not see any movement at all. So I put about 14 pumps into the rear and 8 pumps in the front. I saw that rear slide yoke has a longer travel so that's why more grease into it, but I'm not sure if that was correct.

I just did the same this past weekend. I used just a few pumps in the universal joints but in the slip joints I stopped after 6 or 7 pumps yet never had any indication it was time to stop. (With the universal joints it was easy to see the existing grease express from the fittings.)

At first i was wondering how you knew i was using mobil 1 then saw the pictures. Ha.

I usually service the driveline every oil change - 5k intervals. Keeps my truck clunk free.

Thanks darkie3495. Mobil1 - when you see that pretty grease color. I'll try that interval for just the slip joint, I think the Universal joints should be ok for 1 year unless i submerge it into water/mud. I just want to limit the grease being thrown onto the exhaust. I hate the burning smell that ends up in the garage.

There are several threads regarding this issue and how to simply fix the clunk with proper greasing. 3-5 pumps, unless your slip yoke is already full of grease, is not going to be enough to lube anything...
Personally I have been greasing my u-joints and slip yokes whenever I change oil, which is recommended in the service manual every 5k miles. Also I always let is sit overnight and wipe up any excess grease the next morning to keep from coating the underside.
