Obviously I needed to still adjust these vertically, but dang, I like the cutoff on these 5.0's... And I'm purposely not posting a picture of the quad highs because it's too cool for school :rockon:

Step 89245897928457: Clean the inside and outside of the lenses, blow out any dust from the housings that might have settled over the 6+ consecutive weekends it took you to wrap this project up, etc, etc, etc...

Once you get there, start bolting the suckers back together - but first, lay a nice strip of awesome Morimoto RetroRubber around the groove in the bucket:

Routed the wires under the radiator shroud for the relay harness, which includes the passenger ballast, igniter, and halo.

Ordered a 5 pack of 48" 80/20 bars to beef up the rack as well as make a mounting solution for my RTT. All I had to do was cut an inch off each one and tap the ends at 1/4-20 UNC. The miter worked wonders, then touched up the ends for sharp corners and burrs with a file.

Installed it in the frontmost slot which really is necessary to keep the front end from vibrating due to wind. I wanted to keep it open for sunroof access, but it didn't work that way. I still have lots of room though!

I have been having a little rear end clunk at slow speeds, seemingly suspension related. Popped the rig up on the lift, didn't find anything out of the norm... Greased up the driveshaft and front UCA's while I was at it. Will keep an ear on it!

Have you checked the rear sway bar bushings/brackets?

That's kind of what it has to be - something sway bar related. I have MStudt links on the rear so the end links aren't the issue, but the bushings themselves are likely OEM and probably could use a refresh or two. I know they visually didn't look bad, but that worn out rubber back there could very well be causing my mystery clunk. It's not super loud, but noticeable every once in a while...

Are you not able to use the sunroof now with the extra bar in front? Was the vibration and noise that bad that you needed extra bars?

Oh no - sunroof is completely operation both ways still. The front end of the rack would shudder and vibrate (and even creak in subzero temps) under wind load at highway speeds without a bar in the frontmost slot - I could have used one of the supplied bars but I wanted to beef up the back end for mounting my RTT (which I am working on, slowly).

It's well designed from the get-go! I just like to modify and be different... :llama:
 
Been cold here, so not a lot of recent mods. Just enjoying the new output up front, that's for sure!
