Plugged the T4R into the battery tender. Trucks sitting for 4-5 days at a time now and only doing 1 short run at best. Still showing yellow charging light after 2 days, it's a 19 so wishing the battery is still top shape after 14 months, hoping it turns to green soon, then it's just a trickle charge.
Anyone else doing the same? This won't damage anything, right?

I noticed the leak while changing the oil last week. My heart sank when I saw where it was coming from. I removed the air cleaner and saw the line was more saturated than the timing cover. Ordered the part and gaskets from my local dealer and upon closer inspection found the pin size hole. Toyota actually had a recall on the same line on previous vehicles years ago. Took about an hour to do, had to remove the power steering pump to access the lower 17mm bolt. Torqued everything down and cleaned it up with degreaser. I’ll check it out in a month or two to verify it’s all good. There may be more of us out there with leaking lines and a few that might’ve paid big bucks for a timing cover reseal when all that was leaking was this line.

Man, you don't think it'll happen to you but in the blink of an eye, it happens. Unfortunately, I rear ended a VW SUV a week shy of 1 year since purchasing my dream truck. Dropped it off at the shop on April 1st and the initial estimate of $3,000+ quickly jumped to $12,000+ once it got properly inspected. New hood, headlights, bumper, grill, paint, etc. I'm having some other things taken care of since it's already there. 4/24 is the date it'll be ready for pick up. Counting the days suck especially right now but thankful to have my health as well my family and loved ones. Can't wait to post it when it's finally out of the shop. Definitely learned my lesson.

Used her for another trip to Lowes. This time I carried home some 8' planks and a 10-pack of 12' trim pieces, among other things.
I cannot believe the 12 footers fit!.... Sorta....... [emoji16]

Guess I was naive to think the damage was only cosmetic but yes I agree.
Friend of mine that works at the shop brought it up but I'm not a big fan of how steel bumpers look. Probably cause it's only my daily for now and prefer the look over function. However, I am a big fan of the C4 lo pro bumper since I'd get to keep the aesthetic of the front. I'm keeping an open mind either way but it would be some time before that mod. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just a heads up. I wouldn't recommend LED drop-in bulbs. Though they are brighter than halogen bulbs, their construction won't allow the opposing chipsets to exist on a thin enough plane to properly replicate a halogen filament. A halogen housing depends on this TINY point of light in order to focus and project light far into the distance, but LED bulbs cannot exist in a small enough area yet.
What ultimately ends up happening is that you get a noticeable increase in foreground lighting, but your focus (and therefore distance projection) is considerably diminished. The first 40-50 feet in front of your car gets brighter, but then tapers off dangerously (you need distance projection to see far ahead at freeway speeds). This is the trade-off when trying to adapt LED bulbs into halogen (especially projector) housings.
I had those same Xenon Depot headlight bulbs as well, and have switched back to halogen. I recommend the H9 and 9011 halogen upgrade. Easy to do and you can get both sets of bulbs from any auto parts store for less than $35 total, and it nearly doubles your stock output while still retaining distance projection.
There is a ton of info on this Tacomaworld thread showing why LED bulbs are purely marketing hype. Please check it out!

Countless people have said the same thing but so many ignore that advice and go the LED route only to go back to halogens. That being said, I recently picked up a set of BeamTech LED bulbs to try. I just have to see for myself, I guess. When the halogens eventually go back in, I'll probably just keep the LEDs as a backup set.

The mount for the Yaesu was just a "B" size Ram ball that I JB welded the mounting screw into the hole already in the back of the ball mount.

I installed a pedal commander today, so far so good. I definitely noticed a lot more pep in the acceleration, now I just have to experiment with the different settings.
Question for anybody, this red wire(with 40 amp fuse) ran from the battery to the firewall under the passenger seat door trim and then I stopped tracing it from there. I disconnected it a while back and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. I'm assuming it was an amplifier power wire but I don't see an amp under any seat is there anywhere else it could be hiding or maybe the previous owner cut the wire and tucked it away? Thanks
