Eibach Pro-truck lift

Update on the rear adjustable springs
Success!
Got the replacement springs and that was the issue. Initial set had one weak spring.
One guy said he could adjust his on the rig and he is correct, you just need to buy a 15/16" and a 1/4" hardened round punch or metal stock and put a pipe over that for leverage. The supplied spanner wrench does not work, they just bend and snap

Every 285 is different, every 4runner is a bit different. I doubt eibach will guarantee all 285s will fit. 90% of people will have to trim bumper/liners and/or remove from flaps to fit 285s. If you don't want any modifications stick with 265s.

That being said, I have 285/70 at3w on trd wheels with stock fox shock and I had to push liner forward and remove front mud flaps or they rubbed at full lock.

Yeah I agree all tires are different. I should have questioned if the Pro wheels with 285’s will clear. I know when I put on my SCS wheels 8.5 inch I tried to run Falkens stock size and returned them because of 3 sets of them balancing issues the passenger side at full lock would rub just a bit. But when I had my Nitto’s back on stock size on my SCS wheels no rub. It’s seems the more aggressive tire is going to rub. If I run 285’s I may go with the Nitto’s or new Toyo’s because of less aggressive tire. I’m not asking them to guarantee they will clear I’m just checking to see if they tested them yet.

From my experience they are middle of the road suspension. Not comparable to the giants like King and Icon but great for your daily driver/weekend off-roader.

Does anyone know where to find these kits on sale? Seems like the Memorial Day sales were really good... perhaps I should be patient and wait for a deal.

I’m planning on going with this kit and adding a .5” or even 1” rear spacer to maintain some rake.

Had my kit installed this week and couldn't be happier.
Ring set in the first position on the fronts.
SPC UCAs with caster at +3.8º
HeadStrong Off-Road 1/4" top plate spacer on the drivers side.
SCS F5s 17x8.5 with 285/70 Ridge Grapplers.
Needed to push the fender liner forward and trim but no BMC needed.

Hey Folks,

I turned in my wings at Eibach and now work for Hypercoil, which is another spring manufacturer. I’ll still be around, but will not be answering any Eibach related PM’s.

When you guys upgraded to the Eibach kit, did you guys went ahead and upgrade the bump stops? If so, what rears did you guys go with?

Eibach UPDATE:

 • PRO-TRUCK-LIFT - Springs are now in stock, but we're finishing up the rear dampers for the whole E80 kit. Again, these are high priority and we're trying to move the assembly forward to get any open orders handled immediately.

 • TRD-PRO springs are now in stock!

So with the Pro Truck Lift kit...
1. At 2.75" in the front and only 1" in the back, isn't the front .25" higher? As I've read, 1.5" difference is level.

2. Do you adjust the kit to the pressure we need? I'm adding a full steel bumper, which is 175# in a few months when finished. I'm not sure what the difference is when removing the stock unit. Also have a full size 140# roof rack going in.

3. After install should we get an alignment immediately or wait a few months until after the bumper install for the added weight difference? Or does that not make a difference?

4. I also tow a 6x12 enclosed cargo trailer 1 time a week, except in winter, will the Eibach shocks be able to handle that or will they die prematurely like the OEM ones?

Thanks!

1. Contrary to what everyone seems to think, this kit doesn't provide reverse rake. My rear measurements have been 1" higher than front for 20k miles with this kit.

2. If it were me, I'd have the fronts set on the second clip when assembled and be ready to go for the bumper. I think it's recommended if you plan on adding weight up front. Lot's of people have set to the second clip with stock front bumper on here.

3. I understand your thought process but not sure. My immediate thought is I wouldn't want to drive too long without an alignment after suspension install.

What's the benefit to ordering a kit where they are preassembled with top mounts and hardware?

Makes installation a BREEZE. You won't need a spring compressor and can easily drop your original equipment out then pop in our stuff. Then all you'll need is an alignment and boom bam you're done. The $200 bux spent on the extra hardware is about $200-300 savings from having a professional install it.

I recommend the "loaded" kits from our vendors on here.

Thanks bmy1287-

1. Our testing shows the test vehicles had factory heights all over the place. We took an average and that is what we developed. The kit is designed to be level second clip when using our rear spring

2. The kits come with the snap-ring on the bottom clip. As mentioned above, i also suggest to run it on the second clip. For the rear, we have our Load-Leveling-System available, so you can fine tune your rear heights just like coilovers. We also have an HD rear spring in the works with a slight increase in rate and length.

3. I suggest an alignment asap. The potential tire wear could cost more than just going back to fine tune after the bumper install.

4. That wont be a problem, our dampers feature a good bit of low-speed valving so you will feel improved control during your tow. The tongue weight should not adversely effect the longevity of the shock.
