Eibach Pro-truck lift

Thanks bmy1287-

1. Our testing shows the test vehicles had factory heights all over the place. We took an average and that is what we developed. The kit is designed to be level second clip when using our rear spring

2. The kits come with the snap-ring on the bottom clip. As mentioned above, i also suggest to run it on the second clip. For the rear, we have our Load-Leveling-System available, so you can fine tune your rear heights just like coilovers. We also have an HD rear spring in the works with a slight increase in rate and length.

3. I suggest an alignment asap. The potential tire wear could cost more than just going back to fine tune after the bumper install.

4. That wont be a problem, our dampers feature a good bit of low-speed valving so you will feel improved control during your tow. The tongue weight should not adversely effect the longevity of the shock.

Thanks guys for the info! Couple more questions...

1. What exactly does changing the snap ring from the bottom clip to the 2nd clip do? Is it moving the whole spring higher or compressing the spring so it's stiffer to compensate for the added weight?

2. For the rears, I'm not a fan of having to adjust coilovers... The last car I had with coilovers was a pain in my ass and caused uneven tire wear because I didn't align it after every adjustment. I prefer to have a static set in there and be done. As with question 1, if the rear has the adjustable clips and that tightens up the spring, would I need the HD springs? Or just set the rears to the 2nd clip as well to compensate?

3. I'm getting mixed info on if we need to get new UCAs when using this kit. Can you clarify if we have to or can we stick with OEM? The new tires will be 285/70/17s that seem to be the new norm.

4. Do you guys sell the"fully loaded" sets or are those just from vendors?

Thanks again!

Thanks Mark just to clarify, I have a 2018 4wd SR5 with third row seat, I’m getting this kit, and using both front and rear springs, which setting should I put the front struts on to make the rake level? I was told on phone to set a first setting, but you are saying second setting, the instructions are 2 different things as you can see in picture

Sorry for the confusion on the instructions. They are different because each component can be purchased separately. The notes on the shock instruction is using the OE spring. The notes from the spring instruction is what you should be going with.

I would suggest the first clip for a third-row equipped model. You should be able to find some examples throughout the thread.

Thanks Mark, so I’ll use the one circled 2.75

Eibach Pro lift installed yesterday. As many others have said, noticeable improvement over stock, overall very pleased. 285/70/17 Toyo AT3’s.

Sliders are on order, leaving the running boards on for the time being, better half is somewhat vertically challenged.

Alignment is meh, long story short shop left a little to be desired. Going to let it settle for a week or two and try another. Installed SPC UCA’s with the lift, been down this road before.

Need a real camera but here's how the Eibach fully adjustable fronts and rears turned out.
2.5" up front and 1" rear with lean totally gone. Left me with 1" of rake, exactly the height I wanted.

Not sure if it’s your picture but looks like it ended up with some reverse rake....what settings did you you on front struts?

Yep it’s the image, noticed that myself after I posted it, truck is sitting on a slight incline. Struts are set on the first groove and still have about 1/2“ of rake.

Looks outstanding! I’m thinking about going with this set-up (Or the first generation Pro Truck) for my MGM. How do you like the ride quality so far? Do you have the lift at maximum height in the picture? And did any settling occur? Thank you.

I went 2.5 and they advertise that as max with the fully adjustable. based on where the adjuster threads are they would probably top out over 3.5.
The rears are supposed to be 1/2 min but gave me 1" but that's what i wanted.
They ride fine, body roll and nose dive are about gone. About 1500 miles and zero settling

Thank you. Do you have any more pictures you can post?

Bumper Research

Hey! So, I did a bunch of research prior to buying the kit. I was looking for someone that did a slimline style bumper and winch with the kit to know what to set the front to. I could really only find examples for full bumpers. So, I figured I would share my experience/setup:

- Eibach Pro lift kit
- Warn Winch Bumper
- Smittybilt XRC 9.5k steel lined winch.

I set the Eibach kit to the 2nd notch and ended up with around a 2.75”-2.85” lift in the front. Drives perfect, no issues without UCAs, and couldn’t be happier with the quality of kit and the leveled look of the 4Runner.

Hopefully this helps out someone out that is looking for that slimline style bumper info.

Quick question for the group....ordered my kit last week for my 2018 with 20K miles in it, was telling a friend about it and he said something about it may void my original Toyota warranty , anyone know about this? Thanks in advance

Apologies for the delay...

1. Both. It moves the spring perch higher, which moves your range of travel and changes the amount of preload on the spring. It does not effect spring rate, as that is constant.

2. lucky for you, the pro-truck-lift kit comes with static rear springs. The shocks do not have adjustment. We DO offer our load-leveling system which works like a coilover perch, but again, that is on the axle, not the shock.

3. all of our systems are designed to work with the OE upper control arm. You don't have to change it, but I can say from personal experience it's nice to dial in some extra caster with an aftermarket UCA.

4. not at this time, though it's something that we're looking at! We have many great vendors who sponsor this forum. Hit them up!

Get a new friend. he's jelly. Toyota warranty doesn't apply to your aftermarket shocks (duh no sh1t sherlock) and if anything failed the dealer has to prove your aftermarket shocks caused the failure in order for them to not warranty whatever item in question.
