Glad to hear that you can read and reprogram the TPMS, even better that it works with the OG 5th Gens (mine is a 2013). That's the main reason I bought the cable. I'm due for the 1st rotation of my new set of tires and would like to start a 5-wheel rotation with this set as I have a matching spare.

Anyone have a link to the software? I have a cable that works with the vm do version and want to use my windows 10 machine for this. Not sure if it will work with the newer software so I’d like to try. If not ehaze do you have any cables left?

Just throwing this out there maybe cost your wallet a little more but save you a sh!tload of time/grief. The generic j2534 cable is garbage, they are so hit and miss. I've had one work, then fail, then work again, then fail again, over it. :mmph:
I stumbled upon another techstream thread here, from ages ago, last week and it had mentioned Tactrix Openport2.0 OBDII. Granted it isn't $30 BUT it isn't a $500 Mongoose either (which I was dreading spending that much on a Toyota specific OBD tool). I picked one up dev direct with shipping for $185. Came in two days!
So first experience? Installed the driver on an older Panasonic FZ-G1, running win10 1903. Plugged in the adapter, started TS, opened the VIM select dialog, almost not to my surprise there it was (ugh Xhorse driver nightmares). Selected, plugged into truck and no more than 5 seconds, connected. Opened TPMS another 5 seconds connected. I went through every option and every control unit without issues.
The long short, I wish I would have known about this sooner, the hours of frustration I have spent dealing with that sh!t knock off cable... grey hairs. Happy now :whoo:

A year later I finally got this to work. The CD arrived cracked and couldn't get any software to work on several systems. What eventually worked was installing "Oracle virtual machine" 32 bit Windows XP emulator. The "guest" program from the VM dropdown menu needs to be installed, inside the emulator, then enable drag and drop and you can d&d files from your laptop into the XP emulator. I used the oldass TS version found here OneDrive and after also adding 32 bit 7zip to my emulator, extracted v7.xx and followed the text directions - install TS, install MVCI driver, run Tiskey, and it fired right up. Takes forever to load the changeable settings menus though.

You might try the method here - (Solution) Mini VCI + Toyota TIS Techstream 8.x on Windows 7/8 64-bit.
I lost it where he was talking about command prompt but his screencap showed windows explorer, and couldn't get the command to work in either app. Just installing normally on 64 bit Windows 10 gave me the driver error. Most reliable seems to be installing Oracle's VM running windows XP 32 bit ISO disc image, at least that's all that worked for me. Trying to find something else that will load live data with a faster refresh rate though, wheel speed data had major lag and some screens took forever to load. Not sure where the bottleneck is but prime suspect is the cable so going to try a newer version of TS from AliExpress since that's easiest/cheapest and then a new cable. Update if you figure something else out.
