What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Welcome to the 300K mile club 5 Speed Dave! My chance came last year. I'm around 325K now.
Anyway, when I got my truck it didn't come with any key fobs. I bought a brand new oem one and lost it when my key ring broke.:frusty:
And after 7 years, the truck finally has 2 key fobs. Sometimes its those little things that make make me happy.
Thanks JROTN

Nothing but the damn check engine light came on today for the first time in years. One of these upcoming days I have to take her to AutoZone so they can scan it and see whats wrong *sigh*

Do it yourself! Don't rely on the Zone to give you a fish - catch your own for the rest of your life for $20 (and up)........:fishing:

So... you made a double-cab Tacoma, but with a 'too short to be useful' bed?

That’s a matter of opinion, around here double cabs are expensive no matter the condition. Finally got the ol lady a newer nicer daily and didn’t have room for another rig. So the top came off that one, besides I got it cheap a few years back. As to it being too short to be useful have you ever tried too clean deer blood/ hair out of the cargo area of on a theses things it’s no Bueno lol

Nothing particular. Just pics of progress along the way. See where you cut and what parts you went with. Stuff like that.

Oil, filter, plugs & wires.

Last time I changed plugs and wires was July 2018.

Oil change went fine and I'd planned on doing the radiator today too but I had a feeling I was in for trouble after removing the first plug (#1).

#3 looked correct.

#5 wasn't looking good.

Then a piece of the wire got stuck on #4

But I was able to get it out after a trip Harbor Freight because AutoZone didn't have anything. How does AutoZone not sell an o-ring hook set?

All told, I'd somehow managed to put in two wrong plugs last time.

I quit drinking on March 29, 2019 so I was probably drunk and not paying attention back then but I'd never be drunk enough to buy mismatched plugs.

Anyway, I replaced them with Denso K16TR11 from the dealership for $24 and $33 for NGK RC-TE66 wires from Amazon.

Blew a tranny cooler line so decided to do a new rad, water pump, thermostat, timing kit, and a pass CV shaft because the tow truck driver was careless. Bad CV nut was 35. New one was 1-5/8". Who sizes these things?? Good times.

Tried to do big boy crawler things. Needed lockers and might have crawled up it
