Ticking noise 3.4L Toyota V6 - YouTube
A link to a video I made of the noise. Started a few weeks ago. Happened after I landed pretty hard on a rock with my front skids. Thought I either bent or loosened them causing them to rattle. Removed, and the noise still remained. To me, it sounds like its coming from right where the tranny/engine meet. It's strange, when it first started doing it, when the engine was started cold, it would immediately start ticking. Now, it has to run for 2-3 minutes before it starts ticking. It ticks in park, and in gear, but when revved above about 1700 RPM it goes away, and then comes back as the revs fall. Eventually at idle when the engine warms up more, it goes away, and is only noticed when revved, but that even starts to go away. Thought it was a flex plate, but it was inspected and found to be ok. Any thoughts on this one gurus?
