We love our 2000 4runner limited with 105K miles... but here are a few issues we'd like to resolve:
#1 The ABS light came on and stayed on yesterday. Took a reading, came back with #49 which I believe is related to a tail light issue. Noticed all 3 tail lights were out/off. Took my hand, banged on each of them, 2 out of the 3 came back on. This has happened on and off for years now, but getting scary since losing all 3 tail lights is very bad. Any idea of the root cause/fix for this issue? Replacing the bulbs doesn't seem necessary since they do turn back on, but I'm not understanding why they turn off... loose or something?
#2 The door unlock button doesn't work on any the key fobs we have. The lock button does work for all 3 key fobs, but for some reason, the unlock mechanism isn't working. I've tried replacing the battery, that didn't help.
#3 The air conditioning/heating system is very difficult to turn off. No matter what temp you set it too, you have to change it to "defrost/feet" and press the off button REALLY hard to get it to turn off.
None of these problems were occuring about 5 years ago, but slowly each has popped up.
Any advice is appreciated!
