4Runners in T.V. And movies

I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks for 4Runners while watching T.V. And movies. IMCDB (Internet movie car database) lists 610 movies and shows that 4Runners have been seen in. Any movies or shows anyone can remember that showcased a Runner or had a runner in it that they can remember?

Air Bud has a nice 96/97 Limited in it. I literally asked my dad to buy me that movie as a kid because it had a 3rd Gen in it.

If a 3rd gen is the main vehicle in a movie the prices will probably skyrocket! everybody would want one!

Not really... Even if it was in Gone in 60 Seconds 2 as Eleanor 2 nobody would give a sh*t except us.

It would be cool in a movie like Dantes Peak... Remember this beast

There's one in King of Queens. Jerry Seinfeld is driving it I believe and he talks about how it has rack and pinion steering but he doesn't know what that is...
 
You talking 3rd Gen 4Runners only? Would second-gen pick up count? You'll see more of them, in more exotic locations, too.

in the india special of top gear you can see a surf in the background. in the netflix series sense8 there is a badass hilux the same generation as our 4runners.

I have been watching Sons of Anarchy lately. Season 7, Episode 6 I think it was, Gemma is driving and in the background she drives past 3 3rd gen 4Runners and a 1st gen Tacoma on one block. That really stuck out.
 
every air bud movie has the current gen 4R for when the movie was produced.

there's some cool Land Cruisers in American Sniper. In Dante's Peak, the mayor (and eventually her kids lol) drive a 60 series.

I don't see a ton of 3rd gen's in movies. Too busy doing cool stuff in real life I suppose. :hat:
 
I was watching Hawaii 5.0 and one of the local po po issued cars looked to be a silver 2002 4runner. It actually had blue lights on top(part of a car chase). I hope it had a SC. Season 2 or 3.
