My names Patrick and that's my Les Schwab story. PISSED
T4R group, Instead of reading it all. The Alignment tech bent my skid plate to access my alignment cams instead of removing it the proper way then didn't bend it back. Cheep Shoddy workmanship, now go look at the pictures
Hello Casey, I found your contact information via all the negative reviews left on google about Rexburg Les Schwab tire center store.
Today I finished up my suspension and steering job on my 2000 Toyota 4Runner which included rebuilding King Coilovers shocks, powder coating the springs, CV axles, Inner and outer tie rods. (A lot of money and high end equipment) After my work I took it to Les Schwab to get an alignment. An hour later I received a call back that my SUV was finished. Walking back to the store I saw my truck packed and as I was walking to the front door I could clearly see that the skid plate had been severely bent on ether side.
I went into the store, paid for their services for a alignment ($56.25) and walked out to my vehicle. Before I drove away I wanted to inspect the bent skid plate. I took that attached pictures at this moment and was discussed by their low quality of workmanship my their alignment tech Allen who performed my alignment. The workmanship was one of fast in and out as fast as you can to get the job done. He bent the skid plate as opposed to removing it to gain better access to the alignment cams.
Angry and discussed by the work I went back inside to the front desk and said " you bent the shit out of my skid plate doing the alignment". None empathetic lady called for the tech Allen to come up front. Once again I said those exact same words to him and he had nothing to say. Not wanting to resolve the problem at all. With no help from the front desk or service tech I walked back out to my vehicle, Looked it over some more and cooled off. Then went back inside apologizing to those I swore to and asked for the manager (Neal) who was worthless but more help than the front desk or service tech. We discussed the service that was performed and Neal offered to pull the vehicle back into the bay and bend back the skid plate that was destroyed by the alignment tech Allen.
I was not happy with that response and told him I would do it myself and left the store.
I then went to the Toyota dealer a couple of blocks down the road to discuss getting a second opinion on the service. I now have an appointment in 2 days (Friday) And I still have to figure something out with my skid plate.
Overall the quality of work that was performed by the service tech and the less than helpful people at Rexburg Les Schwab tire center will make me never want to visit them again. Nor another Les Schwab for that matter. The dealer only charges $10 more for an alignment and they have a much higher quality of work and customer service.
In short. I would like a refund for my service and the store owner ( don't know his name) and manager (Mike) to seriously discuss the future of their employees and how the customer service is run at this store. Based off other reviews I have read online via Yelp, Google, Angie's list. I not the first person to be disappointed by this store. (Casey I have seen and read your replies to their reviews so you know what I am talking about)
Being a mechanic at a high end import shop in Missouri for 4 years prior to college. I know bad workmanship when I see it. And this fit the definition perfectly.
Thank you Casey for my long winded review
