Had one of those rare warm and dry winter days. So I had take advantage of it so I detailed the 4Runner.
I noticed that I see what looks like defroster grids in the right side rear window. Did not think much if it until I was cleaning the same window on the left side. I did not see any defroster grids in the left rear window like the right. I thought it was a bit odd. I checked the windows and all windows except the windshield are OEM Toyota. So it seems likely the windows on the doors and back left and right were ever replaced.
Is it supposed to be this way?
If so only theory I can come up with is to clear the back right rear window of fog so you can see better when changing lanes and so forth. Its not necessary on the left side since its out of the field of vision.
