are their limited slips available for a 3rd gen 4x4

I'm looking to gain some extra traction in my 4x4 99. A full auto locker may not be the best option as it is my daily driver, and their is ample snow and ice up here in vermont (might lock up at an inopportune time in slick conditions). I understand that powertrax offers a limited slip for the 4runner?? Is anyone running these, what do they think, is it worth it?? The factory elocker and an on demand system seem too expensive... any help is appreciated.

so a taco lsd rear end wouldn't really work with a 3rd gen ?? Also it looks like the trutrac is only for the front diff, is that right?
 
burlington vt... going to try and hit the trails in central vt once the snow and mud go away.... so may be july... lots of class 4 rds to explore though

A non-TRD taco has a different rear diff than the diff used in our 3rd gens and TRD tacos. They make the TrueTrac for the front and rear. Check out ChildrenofBodom's build, he has a rear TrueTrac. His is 2wd but the rear diff is the same.
 
thanks... looks like a good compromise for me,.. added traction, with out the winter hassles of an auto locker.... or expense of an arb system
