Hi - Just bought a 2004 4 Runner Sport and am getting ready for the winter. 2 issues to attend to now, and I wonder if anyone could help, or point me to the right forum.
* I'd like to get a taller and skinner (than stock) snow tire and put it on a steel rim permanently. Any suggestions for the exact size I want? I believe that snow tires run better on a skinnier tread. Make of tire and source for steel rims?
* Something going on in transmission. When slowing down at a corner or stop, and not stopping but speeding up again, the gearing goes very high, or almost feels like rolling neutral.
* Block heater available or needed? I live in Southern Ontario, Canada.
Thanks - love the vehicle. Reminds me of my 1979 Landruiser Diesel, which I loved, but it rusted out :--)
