They are both GREAT tires! I am a HUGE BFG A/T fan and I have ran both tires. (Well technically the terra grapplers) but I stuck with the BFGs since I got about an extra 10k miles out of them. I also run load range E tires instead of D.
You really can't go wrong with either tires, the price is a factor, as well as personal design preference.

I towed a fully loaded F150 up an icy mountain road this weekend and the Toyo ATII tires made it a piece of cake. They ride quiet and do well off road too. But then I've only got about 3-4,000 miles on them so it's not a long term testimonial.

The toyos probably are quiet as long as you don't get the "extreme" tread. I have those on my ford and they are quite loud for an AT tire. Mud tire loud. Especially above 70 mph. Having ran both, I will say the BFGs work a little better in the ice and snow but the toyos balance better and usually take less weight to balance.

Thats an opinion. It can be anything that makes a wheel take more or less weights. It's just the way the tire gets built. It's also the way the wheel is. It's all chance. Tire companies do stamp a little dot on the tire so you can get the tire stem as close to that as possible to minimize weights.
I just did a set of KO's last week or two weeks ago and i static balanced them and it needed 13 oz on the inside and 11 on the outside. I un beaded them moved it a little bit on the wheel and, instantly like the noodles.... weights dropped down to 7.5oz and 4.25 oz. It was also a 35" tire load range E, and heavy as hell.
Both tires in question are great. Coopers suck, lol. Ask [MENTION=59048]S p a r k y[/MENTION] how bad they suck

Aren't you comparing different tires. AT2's are different than earlier Toyo AT and different than the current extremes. AT2's are definitely quiet and definitely good in snow and ice. They seem much better in all categories to my old worn BFG's but maybe I'd be less convinced running new tires back to back?
