I know there's a myriad of places to rotors and pads for this truck but I'm trying to determine what people have gotten for bang for the buck. I rarely drive hills so I don't need any performance pads but I also don't want to get the cheapest of cheap stuff that'll warp after 5000 mi.
Best bang for the buck rotors and pads?

Been running Akebono pads with Centric rotors for 20+ months with no issues so far. Highly recommend, I run them on our other vehicle as well.

Just got OEM from the stealership. Apparently Toyota has a “value line” for the pads. $56 instead of $105. Rotors are about $170 for the pair. They last forever, spend the extra bucks, you’ll thank yourself.
I used parts store stuff and had a death wobble after a few thousand.
Also liked these. Not bad price and nice quality. Only changes because of an unforeseen circumstance that ruined one rotor and pad so had to change them and needed the car next day, so dealership it was.

Yes I feel a shimmy under braking. I can resurface them but I have no idea of the rotor brand so I want to just get brand new ones.

+1 for Centric. I use Centric rotors and pads on my 4runner, WRX and BMW 330i and have had 0 issues. Great value and great reliability. I've read on many subaru forums that people do track days and beat the shit out of the cheap centric rotors and no reports of them ever cracking or any other issues at all, which is why I first tested them on the WRX and now use them on everything.

So this probably wont be a popular opinion, but with some stuff I recommend just a chain tire and brake shop
- Mine have a lifetime warranty and so if anything goes they replace it with the labor costs.
- Brake fluid is pretty caustic nasty stuff, so I try to stay away from it as much as possible
- I like doing stuff myself and see the value in that, but throwing it out as an option im happy with

I've been using Brake Motive brakes on eBay for almost 8 years now. not crazy cheap, but pretty great quality for being as cheap as they are. I have them on my 05 Sport and they handle the 35s just fine. I've used them on a subaru outback, about 4 different Jeep Wranglers, and now my 4Runner. all have been great, all have good power, and all have lasted w/out issues.

Raybestos Element3 (formerly EHT) pads
Rotor-wise, I've also used Raybestos along with generic parts store high-carbon rotors...I think I bought my Tundra's high-carbon ones from Autozone since the other chains didn't offer them yet.
Definitely stay away from EBC Greenshit err Greenstuff pads

Toyota OEM pads. Centric rotors. Been using them for years across multiple models. They work well. Toyota OEMs some bad rotors at times. Centric does a good job at making consistent rotors.

yeah no joke about death wobble....Did the "brand X " and now doing the wobble wobble wobble when breaking. Stealership says about $180 for two rotors...Not a bad deal with out the wobble
