Best bang for the buck rotors and pads?

Akebono ceramics with non perforated Brembo rotors . 10k miles so far.
Good price and better than OEM performance

I second this. I have this combination and they have been great. Probably about 12-15K on them. My t4r is an SR5 so I upgraded to the larger rotors used on the Sport. Got mine, along with new calipers from Rock Auto.

The recommended Centric and Akebono setup from RockAuto comes to around $275 for front (338mm) and rear pads and rotors with hardware. At that price, does it just make more sense to go with another option?

These are all pad/rotor/hardware kits:
-Powertop KOE2422 stock replacement kit ($107)
-Powerstop CRK2422 Evolution coated kit ($194)
-Centric 90444017 coated kit ($156)
-Centric 90644014 ($115)

I know the Centric/Akebono kit is supposed to be great, but at almost $300 it's hard to not consider the above options. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Do you need new rotors? If your's are fine and OEM, don't replace them new junk.

No kidding...about five years ago I had a pair of OEM rotors that were too thin to be turned. The new ones from a parts store weighed less than the old ones.
