Anyway a month ago I was showing my dad the speakers in my trunk. I was parked in the garage with the trunk open. My brother, not knowing clearance, decided to open the garage door. Anyway this piece of metal that extends from the garage door makes a gash right to the metal up the ENTIRE trunk door. Starts at the bottom of the trunk goes over the license plate, over the emblem, and onto the windshield wiper. stops before the glass. This is not something that could have been fixed with NU-Finish, you could see bare metal.
Made an appointment with the body shop and it is supposed to be ready today after dropping it off on Monday $600 later!
It better look like it never happened or my brother will look like he never happened.
Anyway can't wait to drive it again. Right after getting back from vacation it goes into the body shop so I have really been missing it. In the meantime I was driving my mom's 04 LC. Although not nearly as sporty as the 4R, the sense of ABSOLUTE invincibility is like no other. The LC just goes about its business and it doesn't give a f**k what you drive over- it eats up bumps/potholes/curbs/children/sedans so well you think your floating. We have these speed humps basically a 10inch tall speed bump that is stretched to be about 5ft wide. People in sedans crawl over them at like 5mph. I cruise over them at 50mph without a worry in the world whereas in the 4r I'm a little more weary.
Ill let you know later how it turned out...it is a body shop owned by the Toyota dealer I got the car at so it only deals with Toyotas. They do fantastic work.
