Moving wire harness to a new taillight on the 5th Gen 4Runner

My tail light on my 2016 Trail was broken in an accident so I'm trying to replace it. I removed the damaged one from the vehicle and now have to remove the wire harness and install it in the new tail light. Problem is I can't figure how to take off this white clip (see pic). Doesn't seem to be a tab or something you push to slide it up and off. I've tried pulling it straight out but it didn't budge, even with some force, and I'm worried about breaking the part.

Can anyone who's done this help?

There should be a little locking tab on the left side of your picture that holds it to the housing. Use a small pick t release the tab between the housing and the connector, you should see a small slit to put the pick in once you release the lock tab pull the connector out. Also look at the broken lens to see if you can figure it out also shouldn’t be that hard to do.
